We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software and will be responsible for creating detailed technical and electrical drawings for our range of equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring that designs meet specifications and are executed accurately.
Duties
Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revit.
Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
Create electrical schematics and layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
Perform revisions to existing drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
Maintain an organised library of CAD files and project documentation.
Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and address any issues.
Skills
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, MicroStation, Sketchup, and Revit.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate drawings.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
Problem-solving skills to address design challenges effectively.
Familiarity with building codes and regulations is advantageous.
