Young & Norgate is an award winning furniture and joinery company with a passion for creating beautiful objects. Bringing ideas to life is at the core of our business. Together we are a highly skilled team of designers and makers with experience in fitting out high end residential properties. Based in Montpelier, Bristol we have recently refitted the workshop/studio creating a dedicated space in the heart of the city.

Roles and responsibilities:

3D modelling of freestanding and fitted furniture Producing client sign off drawings and visuals Producing workshop drawings Interpreting site survey dimensions Checking suitability of and specifying fittings and hardware
We are looking for a candidate who has at least 2 years of experience in bespoke furniture design. A good understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques is essential.

It is a requirement to be competent in Solidworks and AutoCAD. It would be advantageous to have experience in Swood. Applicants should also be comfortable reading and producing technical workshop drawings and visuals.

Any CNC programming/running knowledge would be beneficial as this is integral to the production and processing of many of our projects.

As an inclusive workplace we have the option for flexibility in working hours. We also operate a 9 day fortnight working pattern. Other benefits include monthly and bi-annual social events a well as access to the workshop.

Competitive rates of pay offered based on experience.
