Job Summary

We are seeking a trainee or recently qualified CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in computer-aided design and will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics for various construction projects. This role requires proficiency a suitable CAD software application and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Duties

Develop and produce high-quality CAD drawings using ArchiCAD, (experience on other platforms is accept Create 3D models and visualisations using SketchUp and NavisWorks to support project presentations. Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret design concepts and translate them into detailed schematics. Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports. Maintain an organised database of all CAD files and project documentation for easy access by team members.

Experience

Proven training or experience as a CAD Technician or similar role within the construction or engineering sectors. Proficiency in CAD software such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and NavisWorks is essential. Understanding of construction processes and ability to create accurate schematics that reflect project requirements. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify potential design issues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. A relevant qualification in CAD technology or engineering would be advantageous but not mandatory.
