CAD Technician (Joinery / Manufacturing)

Are you a CAD Technician from a Joinery / Carpentry background with a strong proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks looking to join a young yet rapidly expanding company who specialise in manufacturing bespoke furniture, offering opportunities to swiftly progress to senior roles as the company continues to grow and annual bonuses to increase your earnings?

This company specialise in designing and manufacturing bespoke cabinetry and furniture within a range of domestic and commercial sectors, working with blue-chip clients across the UK. Since their establishment 2 years ago, they have grown substantially and are looking to expand their Design team in order to keep up with increased demand.

In this varied and dynamic role, you will be responsible for designing the company\xe2\x80\x99s bespoke furniture projects as you create 2D / 3D client drawings, cut lists and bill of materials as you liaise with the production team to ensure designs are accurately manufactured in a timely manner. You will occasionally be travelling to client sites to conduct surveys and take measurements as well as offering advice directly to clients to ensure designs can realistically be implemented.

This job would suit a CAD Technician from a Joinery / Carpentry background with AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience looking for a varied and exciting role within a growing company where you will have control over design implementations, swift progression to senior roles and annual bonuses to increase your earnings.

The Role:

• Travelling to customer locations to conduct site surveys and take measurements
• Creating 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Produce cut list and bill of materials as you liaise with the Production team to ensure the smooth manufacturing of bespoke furniture
• Offering advice and conferring directly with customers over design implementation
• Monday to Friday \xe2\x80\x93 8am \xe2\x80\x93 4pm \xe2\x80\x93 40 hours p/week

The Person:

• CAD Technician or similar
• Proficient in AutoCAD or SolidWorks \xe2\x80\x93 2D & 3D
• Bespoke joinery / Carpentry / Fit-out background
• Full UK Driving License \xe2\x80\x93 happy to travel to customer sites.
