Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Produce accurate 2D/3D CAD drawings for glazing solutions in both commercial and residential spaces.

- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create detailed fabrication and installation drawings.

- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, industry standards and building regulations.

- Work closely with contract managers and estimators to develop design solutions.

- Prepare technical documentation and issue revisions as required throughout the project lifecycle.

- Maintain drawing registers and ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible.

- Communicate with suppliers to incorporate manufacturer specifications into designs.

- Communicate with clients, architects, and fabrication teams in relation to design details and technical specifications and to ensure smooth project execution.

- Attend site meetings to assist in design coordination.

- Break down drawings for manufacturing, specifying materials, dimensions and other necessary details for production.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.

- An attention to detail that ensures accuracy and precision in drawings and specifications.

- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and other team members.

- Ability to address design challenges and find solutions during the design and fabrication process.

- Willingness to travel - UK & Ireland.

Desirable:

- HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications in engineering, architecture or building study or 1+ years' experience in a similar field.

- Familiarity with construction and manufacturing processes.

- Understanding of aluminum shopfronts, glass installations and structural interfaces.

- Understanding of construction sites and how they operate.

Salary Negotiable depending on experience
