At Yealm Kitchens we design, manufacture and install handcrafted, bespoke kitchens for premium clients in Plymouth and South Hams. We are a small business (and a friendly team) that values quality, craftmanship and customer service to deliver exceptional results. Our bespoke kitchens and cabinetry are manufactured to order and hand-built in our workshop combining traditional and modern techniques.
Due to growth, we are implementing a new CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing System) to streamline the design and production process and to take the business to the next level. This is a new role which combines manufacturing design with operational management, and customer service.

CAD Technician & Operations Co-ordinator

Main Purpose of Job:
This is a multi-functional and varied role which requires CAD and technical skills, administration, operations management and customer service. You will work closely with the Managing Director and the design and production team.
Key Tasks
:
CAD Manufacturing Technician
CAD Proficiency & Programming:
To learn, implement and manage the CAD Design and Manufacturing system (Cabinet Vision) to ensure full functionality across the business.
Technical CAD Design:
Using CAD design and programming to turn design drawings into detailed technical drawings
Production Packs:
Create manufacturing drawings, including cutting lists, assembly instructions, and material specifications
Technical Support
: Deal with manufacturing queries from the workshop
Operations Co-ordinator
Liaise with the customer to confirm their requirements
Order worktops, paint, appliances, sinks, taps, handles and items for each project
Book in Templating and Fitting dates for worktops
Work with the MD, to co-ordinate and project manage installations.
Respond to customer queries and keep them informed.
Plan the schedule and liaise with the fitters
Provide customer documentation and after sales service
Customer Service
Primary point of contact for customer service and enquiries, responding to and resolving queries and problems.
Assist customers in the showroom with general and product enquiries
Business Administration
Use the CRM business management system (TruBlu) to manage quotations, invoices, ordering and customer database
Ordering of materials, supplies, equipment and goods necessary for individual projects and business operations.
Track orders and deliveries and resolve issues
Check and amend quotations for accuracy
Provide job quotations for minor works
Liaise with suppliers
Person Specification
A diploma, degree or certification in CAD, furniture design or a related field required.
At least 1-years' experience using a CAD package (we use Cabinet Vision)
Ideally from a background of technical drawing, maths, engineering or computing with experience in joinery or construction or a related field. (Other backgrounds considered)
A high level of proficiency and confidence in the use of technology, digital tools, and computer systems to support daily operations.
Able to understand technical drawings and plans.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects.
Problem solving skills and able to work with initiative.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Proven experience of customer service.
Be highly organised and able to prioritise and to work efficiently.
Able to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team.

Starting Salary 32k + depending on hours and experience
