Our company is committed to providing high quality design and we are now seeking a CAD Technician / Designer / PIII Architectural Assistant to join our dynamic team.

The Role:



We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Technician / Architectural Assistant to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and refining professional CAD drawing packs for planning submissions, tender and on-site construction. They are to ensure clear and detailed technical documentation for clients, consultants and builders alike.

This role is suited for someone with an attention to detail and ability to work independently who is comfortable taking design direction from the Senior Architect and Director.

While most duties will be performed from the office, regular client and on-site meetings will be required to align technical requirements and ensure project success therefore the ability to travel to sites across Surrey is necessary.

You will help to build consistency and quality across all CAD drawings by improving and standardising drawings working through existing templates and bringing them up to the required standard across all projects.

If desired there can be a path for further development within the team as the company continues to grow with the potential roles of Design Manager or Architect.

Desired Skills & Key Responsibilities:



Proven CAD experience: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Experience with SketchUp and Revit are advantageous. Conversion of Revit drawings into CAD templates for projects may be required. Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications in CAD/ Revit is preferred.

CAD Design & Drafting: Create and refine technical CAD drawing packs for planning submissions, tender, and construction level drawings coordinating information from various consultants conducting clash detection.

Design Standards: Quality check all work produced to ensure a high degree of visual, graphical and technical accuracy.

Technical Detailing: Illustrate an understanding of technical detail to deliver high quality residential developments and solutions. Develop and problem-solve construction details coordinating with structural engineers (and other consultant information) to ensure a seamless design.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date documentation and records following internal processes for revisions to ensure clear development of all projects.

Teamwork: Strong communication skills, confident in discussing projects internally and with consultants. Client-facing interactions are welcomed but not essential.

Collaboration: Work with the Senior Architect, Director, and design team to translate the project requirements into accurate drawings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-33,000.00 per year
