We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items in accordance with food safety standards. Operate coffee machines and other equipment to create high-quality beverages, utilising barista skills. Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional service throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and food preparation zones. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for processing payments. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during peak hours. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred, particularly barista experience. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain health standards. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A passion for food and customer service, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
