Overview

R-CADE is looking for a dedicated and experienced Cafe Barista / Arcade Attendant to assist with the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will have some background in hospitality and food production, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and the highest quality food. As a Cafe Barista, you will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, creating cafe centric digital content and delivering a welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests. Training in food safety and drink preparation will be provided.

The candidate will also be employed as an Arcade Attendant and will need to attend to our bespoke retro arcade so a basic knowledge of video games and gaming culture would be beneficial although not necessary. Training on this will also be provided.

As we have a strong presence on social media we do require our staff to be active and knowledgeable on all platforms. Content creation is a massive part of our business so a candidate that is up to date with current trends would be a great fit.

Secondary to this, our glowing reviews on both Google and Trip Advisor are of the upmost importance and this is due to the welcoming and friendly atmosphere that our team create. The ideal candidate must be outgoing and willing to interact with both current staff and the wonderful community that our brand attracts. A successful candidate's position will not only entail work in person but also online through R-CADE's Discord server and the brand's various social media channels. Due to some of the age restrictions of our games and events, candidates must be over 18 years old.

Duties

Manage daily cafe and arcade operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to our quality standards. Complete tasks to maintain an efficient workplace and effective service. Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of both the cafe and arcade environments, including kitchen areas and bathrooms. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally both face to face and through our online messaging platforms to enhance guest satisfaction. Take part in marketing strategies to promote the cafe / arcade and increase customer engagement through in person and online campaigns. Create collaborative group and solo social media content in line with current trends and sounds on TikTok and Instagram.

Skills

Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques. Basic knowledge or gaming and pop culture history and trends. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Proven experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred. Exceptional communication skills to interact positively with customers and staff alike. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Knowledge and experience with media creation tools and equipment, such as cameras, lighting, microphones, editing software.
