Spud Spot is a growing cafe specialising in jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and English breakfasts by day, with an exciting Indian Fusion ghost kitchen operating in the evenings for takeaway and delivery.
Role Overview:
We are recruiting Cafe Chefs to join our expanding team. This role covers daytime cafe service (jackets, sandwiches, breakfasts, coffee) and evening kitchen service (Indian Fusion dishes for takeaway).
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook jacket potatoes with hot & cold toppings.
Make sandwiches, wraps, and light snacks.
Cook English breakfasts and support daytime cafe service.
Operate evening ghost kitchen, preparing Indian Fusion dishes (curries, masala jackets, naan wraps).
Maintain food hygiene and allergen safety standards.
Monitor stock, assist with ordering, and minimise waste.
Support and train junior staff when required.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a chef/cook in a cafe, restaurant, or takeaway.
Knowledge of both hot and cold food preparation.
Food Safety Level 2 (preferred).
Ability to work flexible shifts (day & evening rota).
Reliable and able to commute to WV9 5BX.
