We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within our bustling cafe environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food preparation and team management. This role involves ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patrons. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the cafe's functioning, from supervising staff to managing inventory, with a focus on delivering quality culinary experiences.
Duties
Lead and supervise the cafe team, including baristas, kitchen staff, and serving personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to uphold quality standards and consistency in menu offerings
Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and stock control
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas of the cafe
Organise staff rotas, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to foster a motivated team environment
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
Coordinate with suppliers for inventory replenishment and manage stock levels efficiently
Implement promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment that aligns with brand standards
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally within a cafe or similar setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in team management
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production and kitchen operations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards, including barista experience or hotel experience is advantageous
Ability to motivate staff, foster teamwork, and lead by example
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced environment
