Enterprise Engineering Ltd are seeking an experienced, hands-on Cafe Manager to lead the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate is a motivated and organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensures exceptional customer service, and takes pride in both the operational and culinary aspects of the business. In addition to managing the cafe team and overseeing service, the Cafe Manager will prepare meals for the cafe menu and occasionally for the owner.

We are a series of managed offices, residences and construction sites, so we are looking for an individual who can envision the highest standard for each area and conduct themselves appropriately at all times. We would like to welcome a well mannered character with a 'can do' working attitude and a sunny disposition.###

Key Responsibilities





Oversee all cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff management, inventory control, and financial reporting. Ensure the cafe maintains high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service. Train, motivate, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to uphold consistent service and efficiency. Develop and update menus in collaboration with the owner, incorporating seasonal and customer-focused offerings.
Prepare and cook menu items as needed, ensuring presentation and taste meet cafe standards.

Occasionally cook meals for the owner as requested, maintaining discretion and quality.
Place orders, and monitor stock levels to reduce waste and control costs. Monitor cafe performance metrics (sales, feedback, expenses) and identify areas for improvement. Maintain compliance with all health and safety, food handling, and licensing regulations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





To succeed in this role you will need:Experience working in hospitality/catering at a management or supervisory level Food safety & hygiene Certificates A thorough understanding of allergens Excellent time management skills Strong culinary skills and comfort working in a kitchen environment Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and staff effectively Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices Flexibility to assist in cooking duties and special requests for the owner A passion for great food, coffee, and customer experiences
