Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 + up to 500/month performance-based bonus

We're now looking for a

hands-on Store Manager

to lead our team in Hertford, deliver outstanding service, and help take this branch to the next level.

Role Summary

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store and for leading a team to deliver consistently high standards. This is a full-time, on-the-floor role that requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example with a hands-on approach, motivating your team to exceed customer expectations Oversee daily operations across front of house and back of house, ensuring service, cleanliness, and organisation are consistently excellent Manage rota scheduling, stock control, ordering, and deliveries Ensure compliance with all operational policies: cash handling, licensing laws, health & safety, and food hygiene Monitor financial performance and work towards sales and cost targets Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members Proactively handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally Maintain regular communication with senior management and contribute to business development plans Coordinate store maintenance and liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed
Skills & Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in food/catering retail, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role Strong leadership and team-building skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Sound knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Financial awareness and ability to interpret basic sales data Fluent in spoken and written English Must have the right to work in the UK and a UK bank account in your name
