Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while managing staff, food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, as well as the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and employees.

Duties

Supervise daily cafe operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food production Manage and train staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting teamwork Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including kitchen areas and dining spaces Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction Implement promotional activities to enhance cafe visibility and attract new customers

Skills

Proven experience in supervising or managing a team within a restaurant or cafe setting Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management Experience in hospitality with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service Familiarity with barista skills is advantageous Previous kitchen experience is essential; hotel experience is a plus Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
