What We're Looking For:

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic

Cafe & Soft Play Assistant

to join the team at Wacky Playland. In this role, you will be the welcoming face for families, ensuring every visitor has a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience. You'll prepare and serve food, drinks, and barista-style coffee in our cafe while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across both cafe and play areas.

Your Role Will Include:

Greeting customers and letting them in through our door Preparing and serving food, drinks, and barista-style coffee in our cafe. Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout the cafe and soft play areas. Supervising the soft play area, ensuring children play safely and parents feel at ease. Assisting with daily cleaning tasks, including sanitizing equipment, tables, and floors, as well as deep cleaning of play equipment and cafe facilities. Helping with birthday parties and special events. Assisting with stock replenishment and basic admin tasks.

Days we're looking for:

We're looking for people who're available on certain days (it doesn't need to be every weekday that you're available as we'll be hiring multiple staff members).

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons or mornings Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) availability

What You'll Need:

A positive and approachable attitude. Great communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekends and school holidays. A strong understanding of the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. Some experience in customer service, hospitality, or childcare would be a bonus, but we're happy to train the right candidate!

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2 Health & Safety First Aid or Safeguarding Certification Barista experience or coffee-making skills (training will be provided if you're new to this!)
