Location: Earl Street, Dundalk

Reports To: Cafe Manager

Rocksalt Cafe is a vibrant and energetic establishment located in the heart of Dundalk, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our customers. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and adaptable individual to join our team as a Cafe Supervisor.

Job Overview:

As a Cafe Supervisor at Rocksalt Cafe, you will play a crucial role in leading a small, engaged team while maintaining a high standard of service and ensuring smooth cafe operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, switching effortlessly between multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a positive and motivating presence within the team.

Key Responsibilities:



Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of service is consistently delivered, managing customer interactions with a friendly and professional approach, and addressing any customer concerns or feedback promptly. Team Leadership & Motivation: Support the Cafe Manager to lead a highly energetic team to deliver exceptional customer service. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. Cash Handling & End-of-Day Processes: Manage cash handling, reconciliation, and end-of-day processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Product Ordering: Oversee stock management, including placing orders, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring proper stock rotation. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all cafe operations comply with health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and food safety procedures.

Ideal Candidate:



- Proven experience in a Front of House hospitality role, with some leadership or supervisory responsibility.

- Trained Barista with a passion for coffee.

- A strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a small team.-

- Organised and detail-oriented, especially with cash handling, ordering processes, and inventory management.

- Food handling experience is an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

- A positive, proactive, and energetic attitude with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Experience Required:



- Previous experience in Front of House hospitality with demonstrated responsibility for managing a small team and overseeing operations.

- Barista-trained with experience of delivering consistently great coffee.

- Experience in cash handling, stock management, and end-of-day processes is essential.

- Familiarity with food safety regulations and handling would be a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.50 per hour
