Duties

As a Cafe Team Member, your responsibilities will include:

Greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately. Preparing food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards. Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including kitchen and dining spaces. Assisting with food preparation tasks, including cooking and assembling menu items. Managing time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Collaborating with team members to maintain a positive work environment. Adhering to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen and cafe areas.

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure high standards of hygiene. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders efficiently. Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on helping customers and working as part of a team.

Pay: 12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
