Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and service. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces, kitchen, and equipment. Support bartending activities as needed, including the preparation of drinks and managing bar supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, including catering events if required. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A friendly and approachable demeanour with a genuine desire to help customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
