CAFE & BAR ASSISTANTS

PERMANENT

(contracted) - candidates must be available for the full rota(s) applied for:

Salary: 22,308 pa - pro rata based on contracted shifts per week

Rota1: Tue/Wed/Sat 9:00am-5:00pm (inc 30 min unpaid break) - 22.5 hpw

Rota2: Thu/Fri/Sat Thu/Fri 5:00-8:00pm (no break) and Sat 12:00-8:30pm (inc 30min unpaid break) - 14 hpw

Rota3: Fri 11:00am-3:00pm (no break) - 4 hpw

Rota4: Sun 9:00am-5:00pm (inc 30min unpaid break) - 7.5 hpw

For the stability of Cafe staffing, candidates should have the right to work in the UK for a minimum of one year.

We are looking to appoint Cafe & Bar Assistants to our team. Reporting to the Cafe Services & Bar Manager, the post holders will contribute to the continued success of our cafe, bar and events:

This is not a development role so extensive bar, waiting and cooking experience is essential

as you will be required to hit the ground running; preparing, as well as serving, food and carrying out bar service during larger events as part of the role

The Assistant will be working under the Cafe Manager's guidance to:

Deliver exceptional service and support new strategies to encourage returning and new customers.

Deliver friendly, personalised attention towards each customer, welcome and explain the menu to determine the customer's food and beverage interest and needs.

Undertake the preparation of food and beverages following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques including allergens

Take customer orders accurately

Serve food and beverages to customers

Adhere to food hygiene procedures at all times as instructed

Offer all cafe customers equal access and opportunity in receiving a high standard of service

Operate EPOS till, accurately when processing customer sales

Receiving customer payments by cash and card

Ensure all tables, surfaces and equipment are kept clean and operational

Encourage add on sales

Assist with meeting daily financial targets as set by the Cafe Supervisor
