Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in our independent cafe. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will ensure that every guest leaves with a smile.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, matcha lattes and milkshakes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and dining area. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and quality. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction. Assist with food preparation, including pastries, light snacks and sandwiches as needed. Manage time effectively to fulfil orders promptly during busy periods. Operate POS and cash register and handle transactions accurately. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Requirements

Previous barista experience is essential. Confident working front of house. Knowledge of food safety practices. Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence. Excellent time management abilities to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A passion for coffee and creating a friendly atmosphere.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
