Orange Pekoe is a leading tea room in London and a well established cafe and tearoom in the local community. We offer brunch, lunch and afternoon tea daily and a seasonal healthy salad bar Monday - Saturday. We are known locally as providing an exceptional quality of food and service.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate, experienced and driven Chef to join our team at Orange Pekoe. As a key member of our senior team, you will be responsible for maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation. You will come from a similar high paced cafe environment with experience in producing the best salad bar and freshly baked goods. You will be kind, friendly and calm and use to working in a high paced environment. There is no evening work required in this role.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations. Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes aligned with our menu and a seasonal salad bar. Bake freshly baked cakes, bakes, scones etc daily and seasonally. Oversee food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations. Manage food production processes to optimize efficiency. Train and mentor kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills. Collaborate with front-of-house staff and management team. Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Uphold the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

2-3 years proven experience in a similar role. Strong food production and preparation skills. Extensive kitchen and culinary experience. Excellent team management and leadership abilities. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Previous cafe or tea room experience is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
