Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to minimise waste. Train and mentor junior team members in culinary techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to customers. Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting. Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with familiarity in serving customers directly being advantageous. Experience in managing kitchen operations within a busy hospitality environment is essential.
