We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and kitchen management. Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of cafe operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and financial administration
Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards across all areas of the cafe
Coordinate food production activities, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and controlling waste
Implement training programmes for staff on service techniques, food safety, and health & safety procedures
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to foster positive relationships
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas at all times
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment
Skills
Proven experience in supervising or managing in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff
Familiarity with food production processes within a cafe or restaurant environment
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and operational procedures
Leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers
Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary practices, and hotel or bar management experience is desirable
