We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant cafe environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and supervising food preparation and service activities. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the cafe team, including baristas, kitchen staff, and serving personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently
Manage daily operational tasks such as opening and closing procedures, stock control, and cleanliness standards in line with food safety regulations
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer needs promptly and professionally
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to optimise team productivity
Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation related to food production and hospitality operations
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating culinary trends and customer preferences
Handle administrative duties including ordering supplies, managing inventories, and maintaining financial records
Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant or cafe management with supervising experience in a hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, food safety, and kitchen operations
Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous
Barista experience or serving background is desirable but not essential
Leadership qualities with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Good understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to food handling and service operations
