The Cafe Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of The Vench Corner Cafe, leading the front-of-house team (including the Cafe Supervisor) to deliver excellent service that reflects The Vench's values and meets the needs of the community.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experienced hospitality professional seeking full accountability for a cafe.
Confident leader with strong organisational and communication skills.

Hands-on, proactive, and committed to high standards.
Job Summary:
Lead, supervise, and support the cafe team, including staff and volunteers.
Oversee all aspects of daily cafe service, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, allergen management, and customer service.
Manage till operations and cash handling procedures.
Implement and monitor operational procedures to ensure safety, efficiency, and consistency.
Provide training for staff and volunteers on:
Safe use of equipment
Hygiene protocols
Allergen awareness
Customer service standards
Till operation
Take initiative and demonstrate strong leadership to uphold operational excellence.
