We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation for both our cafes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service as well as barista experience. As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards. The nature of business will mean that hours many fluctuate , due to having a university student heavy custom.
Duties
Supervise and manage cafe staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high culinary standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Train and mentor team members in serving techniques, hospitality skills, and kitchen operations.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe space, including kitchen areas.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a cafe or restaurant environment is desirable
Strong experience in a barista position
Background in hospitality with excellent customer service skills.
Experience in team management, demonstrating effective leadership capabilities.
Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is required.
