Store Manager - Hertford Branch

Salary: 32,000 - 36,000 + up to 500/month performance-based bonus

Brew Garden is a fast-growing

speciality coffee brand

with a reputation for no-nonsense quality and consistency. With two successful sites already trading and a third on the way, we're building a brand that prioritises excellent coffee, great service, and a strong atmosphere.

Our Hertford branch is a high-footfall, all-day venue offering speciality coffee, food, and a licensed bar. We're now looking for a hands-on, organised Store Manager to lead the team and help drive the business forward.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, operational management role. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, managing the team, maintaining standards, and delivering commercial performance. You'll work directly with the owner and be expected to take full ownership of the site.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support your team to deliver excellent service and consistent product quality Oversee operations across coffee, food, and alcohol service Plan rotas, manage ordering, track wastage, and control stock Maintain site cleanliness, organisation, and team presentation Uphold company policies and licensing laws, including health & safety and food hygiene Ensure accurate cash handling and banking Monitor daily and weekly sales, margins, and staff performance Liaise with suppliers, place orders, and manage deliveries Proactively handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally Maintain a calm and focused atmosphere during busy periods Act as a reliable point of contact between the site and management
Requirements

Minimum 2 years of hospitality management experience, ideally including both coffee and licensed service Strong leadership skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Sound knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and licensing requirements Competent in basic financial reporting and sales analysis Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Fluent in English and legally eligible to work in the UK UK bank account in your own name
