We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within a busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the cafe team and ensuring smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety standards.
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks and monitor performance to foster a productive team environment.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries and resolving issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe environment, including kitchen areas and dining spaces.
Assist in social media, marketing and development to enhance customer experience.
Monitor financial transactions, including cash handling and sales reporting.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
Sound understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Experience in food service roles such as serving and barista work is essential.
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers.
Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices and customer service excellence.
