Cafe & Soft Play Assistant
Job Description
Cafe & Soft Play Assistant required for a family-run soft play and cafe. We are looking for a hard working, friendly, confident individual who likes to work alongside a small team and with children to compliment our team.
This is a weekend position, with the position available on a Saturday however some cover may be required on Sunday's also, so flexibility is required. Additional hours/ cover may also be available so please confirm your availability in your application, particularly as midweek work may also be available.
As a Cafe & Soft Play Assistant, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for children and their families so previous experience of working in a cafe or similar environment with excellent customer service skills is essential. Candidates must be confident in their own ability and be comfortable having conversations with customers.
Preference will be given to candidates who have flexibility with their availability and also to applicants who are barista trained. We are very proud of our food and drink offering, with great tasting coffee central to this, so coffee-making experience is advantageous.
The successful applicant will be part of a small, close-nit team who all work hard for each other. An eye for detail and passion for cleanliness is also extremely important to us.
Responsibilities
Assist in the daily operations of the cafe and soft play area, ensuring a welcoming environment for children and families. Provide high-quality customer service, whether this be on the till or while welcoming customers or addressing any issues which may arise. Monitoring the soft play to ensure the safety of our customers. Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness throughout the soft play and cafe areas. Clean the party room and switch themes between parties. This is a vital part of the role. Support the kitchen team by taking and running orders. Coffee-making.
