Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cafe Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our popular cafe on Magdalen Street. This is a part time role, working Mondays 7.45-16.00 and Saturday to Sunday 8.45 till 16.00. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service, with a passion for preparing exceptional coffee, customer service and ensuring a high-quality dining experience. You will be confident to work on your own on quieter days.

Duties

Running daily front of house operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Making coffees and serving drinks and food, clearing and cleaning tables, stock management Assist with kitchen duties if required, i.e. basic food preparation and cleaning duties Handle cash and card transactions accurately and reconcile the till at end of day Key holder, responsible for opening and closing cafe to required standards. Maintain inventory control, ordering supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in cafe or restaurant operations, with supervisory experience Barista trained and confident to work on your own during quieter periods Exceptional customer service skills and able to use initiative Trustworthy and reliable
