We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Team Member to join our vibrant team. As a key part of our cafe, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while assisting in food preparation and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The roles can range from taking a customers order to preparing it and taking it to their tables. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for culinary arts.

Duties

Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers and taking their orders accurately. Assist in food preparation, ensuring that all items are prepared according to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and cafe areas, adhering to health and safety regulations. Support the team in upselling menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours. Carry out basic maths tasks for handling cash transactions and providing change to customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the cafe environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for cash handling and order processing. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Working Hours: 10-20 hours per week. 4-5 days per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
