Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Service Team Members to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring that food preparation and safety standards are met. You will play a crucial part in creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering high-quality food and service.

Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Assist in inventory management and stock control Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for payments

Skills

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable e are looking for a like-minded, enthusiastic and energetic individual to join Our team. Someone with a keen attitude and a willingness to learn. Experience of working in a Food retail environment would be an advantage. Whether you are answering the phone and dealing with queries; taking orders for cakes etc, selling and promoting shop merchandise or providing information to members of the public, you will deliver an efficient and friendly service to customers at all times. Excellent customer service is a must.
Main Responsibilities

Preparing the shop before opening Maintaining cleanliness throughout the day Working with team members to maintain the Cake Box standards Keeping a check on the quality of cakes leaving the shop Greet and deal with customer's requests with a smile Serve customers and take payments using the cash register and card machine Taking cake orders from customers Answering the phone Boxing cakes and slices correctly Cashing up at the end of each day Working with a team of cake decorators and front of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards Filling cake sponge with fresh cream and spread so they are ready to decorate Learning new decorating skills alongside experienced decorators Learning how to write messages on cakes for customer orders Decorating cakes and slices for display and filling Display Fridges Decorating customer orders End of day cleaning with all staff, including mopping the floor.

Salary: Up to 12.21 per hour
