The Role:





Hanley Calibration are looking for a fixed site C&I Manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the Site Engineering Manager and will be responsible for managing a team of I&C resources & Technicians to perform routine, and non-routine calibrations. Oversee the Management of all 3rd Party Calibrations at our clients facility in Stevenage, UK. All candidates are required to have 10+ years experience.

Key Responsibilities - C&I Manager:





Lead and manage the Instrument Service Group team, ensuring effective collaboration and performance. Conduct one-to-one meetings and oversee weekly team schedules. Promote flexibility, agility, and cross-site support to meet operational needs. Identify skill gaps and implement development plans for continuous improvement. Participate in weekly meetings with clients and operations leads. Attend safety meetings, monthly community of practice sessions, and customer/end-user meetings as required. Communicate efficiently using site tools for safety talks, toolbox talks, and performance reviews. Ensure safety remains a top priority across all activities. Act as department compliance leader, overseeing adherence to ALCOA+ (CCEA) principles. Complete risk assessments, method statements, and manage General Permit to Work (GPTW) processes. Report accidents and near misses through established site systems. Drive proactive EH&S management and attend relevant safety forums. Supervise daily and weekly operations in collaboration with team leaders and planners. Oversee calibration and maintenance, PM tasks in line with client SOPs. Ensure all work orders are completed within contractual timelines and SLA requirements. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all areas of responsibility. Prepare monthly KPI and CPI governance reports and quarterly management monitoring reports. Review and approve calibration test results and business administrator outputs. Generate internal purchase orders and manage material requisitions after obtaining quotes. Report operational efficiencies and identify opportunities for improvement. Lead RCA investigations and manage OORs/CAPAs and audit findings. Prepare for audits and assist as required, including self-audits and corrective actions. Recommend SOP and work order modifications to enhance processes. Drive innovation and submit continuous improvement ideas to the client. Embed cultural ownership through A3, RCA, 9-box priority, and action planning principles. Ensure accurate asset management and data integrity within CMMS systems. Implement and utilize IT platforms for compliance, safety, and plant operations. Act as data proof checker and approve critical documentation. Manage third-party calibration services and overtime requests with client approval. Support change management initiatives and liaise with central support functions. Contribute to local and site CommCell/daily huddle meetings. Identify work outside SLA scope and escalate appropriately.

Education/ Experience Requirements:





Instrumentation Apprenticeship or B.Sc. Degree in instrument / electronic engineering or equivalent. 10+ years of combined education, training, and experience in calibration, instrumentation, measurement and control preferably in Pharmaceutical Industry Proven fault finding/trouble shooting skills Knowledge and experience working in a cGMP regulated facility. Experience executing and documenting Calibration certificates Ability to interpret loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID's, I/O wiring and panel drawings Computer literate
