Calibration Technician Biopharma €75k/year

London, United Kingdom

Job Description

Keen on a new challenge or looking at better development opportunities? Don\xe2\x80\x99t mind a new adventure abroad? Then this may be the job for you.

We are teamed up with a biopharma client who have been growing steadily over the last decade, going from almost 0 to over 700 employees with multiple development and manufacturing sites. This tends to open up quite a lot of opportunities internally on its own and they always try and promote their own employees first before looking internally. Of course, expanding quickly means they are in need of hiring externally for this position.

They are active with both development and manufacturing of their own products as well as acting as a CDMO for third parties. This has meant multiple revenue steams which has proven to be a very stable ground for further expansion. A fairly recent IPO also means that they have plenty of funds to keep investing in new equipment and technology on-site where you would certainly be involved on the calibration and maintenance side.

You would mainly be responsible for calibrating instruments in several departments, including drug substance & drug product manufacturing, QC and environmental testing. You are part of an established calibration team but will likely be among the more senior ones and have good opportunities to advance in the future.

Examples of the equipment that they use are pressure meters, flow meters and temperature meters. You will also assist with qualifications of bioreactors, chromatography and incubators for example, so it will be fairly complex instruments and systems. All if it in GMP environment.

This is a permanent position and relocation internationally will be required due to their location.

t will still be within Europe and offers basic salary equivalent to ca. \xe2\x82\xac75,000 per year (give or take depending on experience). There is also favourable tax scheme for highly qualified foreign workers meaning you pay significantly less taxes in the first couple of years.

The company language is English and you can get on easily in this language outside of work as well.

Requirements:

\xe2\x80\x93 A degree in an engineering related field or vocational qualification with instruments and/or calibration.

\xe2\x80\x93 Minimum 4-5 years of experience in performing on-site calibration in a GMP environment. Either from the pharma or biopharma industry or similar. General GxP experience is a must given the strict regulations followed on-site

\xe2\x80\x93 Experience of working with automation systems such as DeltaV or similar would be highly meriting.

\xe2\x80\x93 Fluency in English
