We are a busy, well-established

9-surgery dental practice

providing high-quality NHS and private dental care to a large and loyal patient base. We are now looking for a

professional, friendly, and highly organised Call Handler

to join our front-of-house team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional communication skills, and is passionate about delivering outstanding

customer service and patient care

.

Key Responsibilities



Call Handling & Patient Communication



Answer a high volume of incoming calls in a

polite, calm, and professional manner

. Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, recalls, and emergencies efficiently. Provide accurate information on treatments, fees, availability, and practice policies. Handle patient queries and concerns with empathy and discretion. Convert enquiries into booked appointments while maintaining excellent patient experience.

Front Desk & Administration Duties



Support reception with patient check-ins and check-outs when required. Maintain accurate patient records in line with

GDPR and confidentiality standards

. Process payments, daily reports, and general office administration. Liaise with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day. Manage emails, referrals, and internal communications efficiently. Support practice targets including diary utilisation and recall systems.

Patient Care & Customer Service



Deliver a consistently

high level of patient care and service excellence

. Act as a positive ambassador for the practice at all times. Ensure patients feel welcomed, listened to, and well cared for from first contact to treatment completion.

About You



A confident, friendly, and professional communicator. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Calm under pressure and able to handle a

fast-paced, high-call-volume environment

. Passionate about delivering exceptional

customer service and patient experience

. Strong IT skills and confidence using computer systems. Previous experience in

dental, healthcare, call centre, or reception-based roles

is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided. Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
