The Sussex CAMHS Acute services have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrist to join their expanding crisis and home treatment service.



This is an exciting opportunity to design and develop an innovative new care model for Young People (12yrs -18yrs) . With a focus on play an prioritising the delivery of a safe, effective and caring service to those who can be safely treated in the community as an alternative to admission or supported discharge from an inpatient bed.



This job attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of 45,000 structured over a three-year period as follows:



o 15,000 payable upon successful recruitment



o 10,000 payable at 12 months' service



o 10,000 payable at 24 months' service



o 10,000 payable at 36 months' service



The Recruitment and Retention payment is pro rata for part time employees. This is a new post, following the commissioning of the service as an alternative to admission to a CAMHS ward, by the Kent and Sussex Provider Collaborative. The Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to work with the multidisciplinary team in the new crisis & intensive home treatment service and provide clinical leadership alongside senior MDT colleagues.



You will take a lead clinically and work as a proactive member of a full multidisciplinary team. You will also contribute to the leadership team and help to continually develop the acute care pathway along side colleagues.

You will be required to contribute to the CAMHS Psychiatry on call rota.
