June 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of Loneliness Awareness Week, and we are planning our biggest, boldest campaign yet.
We're looking for a Campaign Assistant to join our small, passionate team to help deliver this milestone campaign. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in an internationally recognised awareness week, supporting on-the-ground campaign delivery, communications,partnerships, and events.
Role Purpose
The Campaign Assistant will provide vital support to the Campaign Manager and wider team to ensure the smooth delivery of Loneliness Awareness Week 2026. You will be highly organised, proactive, and enthusiastic about supporting a fast-paced awareness campaign with global reach.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Coordination:
Assist with planning and delivery of campaign activities in the run-up to and during Loneliness Awareness Week.
Help manage timelines, schedules, and campaign trackers to ensure milestones are met.
Provide administrative support including meeting coordination, note-taking, and maintaining campaign records.
Stakeholder Communications & Engagement:
Respond to public and partner enquiries about Loneliness Awareness Week, taking the lead in managing the campaign inbox.
Assist with outreach to campaign partners, supporters, and collaborators - recruiting campaign ambassadors across the UK.
Help maintain and update campaign webpages including campaign toolkits and resources.
Support the Marketing & Communications Executive with content planning for social media and campaign newsletters.
Maintain accurate records of new contacts and partner engagement.
Events & Logistics:
Support the planning and delivery of events, both virtual and in-person, connected to Loneliness Awareness Week, including the online webinar training series and campaign launch.
Support partners with adding events to the campaign connections map.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Help track campaign engagement, reach, and outcomes.
Support the collection and analysis of data for post-campaign reporting.
Contribute ideas for campaign improvement and legacy planning.
Person Specification
Essential:
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confident using digital tools including social media platforms, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and basic content management systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to problem-solving.
Passion for Marmalade Trust's mission and a commitment to reducing loneliness.
Desirable:
Experience in campaign support, communications, events, or community engagement.
Knowledge of awareness campaigns or charity sector working.
Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Brevo, or similar platforms.
Experience with data monitoring and evaluation.
