A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to be appointed as a Band 7 Campaigns & Engagement Manager, fixed term/ secondment for 18 months.



The post holder will lead on Campaigns & Engagement to deliver insight-led and strategically aligned campaigns and public engagement activities. They will have a proven track record of strategic communications and significant stakeholder engagement experience at a regional, national and local level in order to raise awareness of health and care research in Wales, promote Welsh research nationally and internationally, and appeal to new audiences to get involved in research.



The post holder will require excellent communication skills, have a positive and flexible approach to the needs of the Service, be motivated, ready for the next challenge and enjoy working as part of a very busy team.

In this leadership role, the duties will include:



1. Develop and deliver effective campaign and public engagement strategies for Health and Care Research Wales and the Support & Delivery Centre, serving Welsh Government's policy objectives.



2. Support the Senior Communications and Engagement Manager and Senior Public Involvement Manager in setting the direction for campaign development and managing the budget for campaigns and engagement.



3. Lead the project management of events, conferences, workshops and other engagement activities that reach out to a wide range of stakeholders.



4. Develop and implement creative, integrated campaigns working with the wider Communications, Engagement and Involvement team and the wider research Infrastructure.



5. Develop strong operational links with counterparts in peer organisations, cultural organisations and the third sector in developing and delivering innovative campaigns, engagement activities and revenue streams to support initiatives.

This is a Health and Care Research Wales post, hosted by Powys Teaching Health Board.
