Job Description

We are looking for a Campaigns Contact in Gloucestershire to raise awareness and campaign so that the needs of people affected by MND are recognised and addressed by wider society.

The MND Association was founded in 1979. Our mission is to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers. We also fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure for MND. The Association also campaigns and raises awareness so the needs of people with MND, and everyone who cares for them, are recognised, and addressed by wider society.

What\xe2\x80\x99s involved?

• Promoting central campaigns on social media
• Emailing local councillors to improve services for people living with and affected by MND in your area (our team will fully support you with this!)
• Talk to MPs and decision makers about what MND is and why it\xe2\x80\x99s important that people have access to high quality health and care services (again, we\xe2\x80\x99re here to help)
• Working with regional MND Association staff to identify issues and gather evidence for local (and potentially national) campaigns
• Participating in working groups, training and learning activities

This role will suit you if:

• You\xe2\x80\x99re interested in learning and improving your campaigning skills
• You want to make a positive difference for people living with and affected by MND
• You\xe2\x80\x99re a good communicator. No matter where your interest lies, be it written or spoken, sharing articles or providing feedback, you have so much to offer!
• You are computer literate and have access to email/the internet, or someone who can help you with this
