Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and efficient campervan converter to join our team. As a converter, you will play a crucial role in transforming standard vans into fully functional and beautiful camper vehicles. Additional details as follows

- Full time self-employed (long term contract).

Responsibilities

- Van Conversion: Install fixtures and fittings including:

Vehicle glass fitting, including cutting the apertures Carpet lining the back of vans Soundproofing and vehicle insulation Fitting and wiring of 12v and appliances such as fridges, electric steps, LED lights, DC-DC chargers, leisure batteries, solar controllers, solar panels, inverters, electric roof lights, etc Diesel heating system fitting and installation Dismantle and reassemble interior trim parts Maintain a clean and organised work area within the workshop. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to high standards, complies with safety regulations, and meets customer and company expectations.

- Project Management: Manage your own workflow and projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high quality.

- Collaboration: Work as part of a team with other members of the team to complete each project.

Essential Experience:

- Campervan conversions (1 Year minimum) or Mechanical background (3 year minimum)

Skills Required

- Proven experience in van conversions, mechanics, or similar trades (e.g. carpentry, electrical work, upholstery).

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and basic mechanics for camper van conversions.

- Ability to work from technical drawings.

- Attention to detail, with a passion for creating functional, high-quality campervans. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team. - Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with other team members. - Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.

- A valid driver's license and the ability to drive large vans is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,500.00-32,500.00 per year
