Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and fabrication disciplines, demonstrating proficiency in both manual and power tools. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, capable of interpreting schematics, and has a solid understanding of construction practices. The Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that all fittings and installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Interpret and work from technical drawings and schematics to carry out installations and repairs. Perform roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and other fitting tasks as required. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various construction tasks. Engage in carpentry, plastering, masonry, and fabrication duties as part of the fitting process. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while adhering to safety regulations. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals within set deadlines.

Experience

Proven experience in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or related fields is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques is required. Experience in carpentry, plastering, masonry, fabrication, and construction painting is highly advantageous. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively is necessary for successful execution of tasks. A strong commitment to safety practices in the workplace is crucial.
