Situated in Highland Perthshire, 13 miles from Blairgowrie town and 20 minutes from Glenshee Ski Centre, is Glenshee Glamping, a beautiful 10-acre site.
This family-owned site operates 10 units a mix of pods and shepherd huts and tent pitches.
Glenshee Glamping has a current vacancy for an active, outgoing friendly warden team to share duties on site. The right candidates must be motivated with good communication skills and willing to work outdoors in all weathers.
Duties will include but not limited to, manning the reception, providing excellent customer service and carrying out various maintenance tasks and various cleaning duties and must be able to do at a pace that meets business demand, basic IT skills and social media posting. Hours and days worked will vary due to demand, winter/summer season and bookings. E.g. winter is not as busy as summer, and certain duties do not need to be carried out i.e. mowing. November and March are much quieter. Part of living on site is so there is a presence for safety and security, but that you also get to experience the lifestyle on offer, for example each check-in should take no longer than 10 minutes, In winter you may have 3 or none on any check-in day, summer you may have 4 on a Wednesday but 12 on a Friday for example, not all actions will take 2 people at the same time. The right team will need to show flexibility and feel comfortable with this model of working. We are a family run business with a very good reputation for being personable so you will need to help maintain that in the absence of the owners.
Skills:
Previous parks experience preferred
Own car essential, place for own touring caravan or motor home
IT skills - to be able to deal with online booking system (little Hotelier/ site minder) and to answer/manage email enquires
Good interpersonal and communication skills, helpful and flexible attitude
Basic plumbing, electrical and DIY skills - really helpful
Duties:
Greeting and check-in all guests (reception duties - mobile phone will be provided, so guests can call on arrival and for emergency contact) 3pm - 7.30pm
Answer telephone and email enquiries
Basic use of online booking system (training provided)
Taking card payments for extras such as fire wood
Assisting with on-site Health & Safety where needed
Liaise with any contractor needing to visit site e.g. plumber
Cleaning of accommodations 10 units, communal kitchen space and wash block 4 x bathroom plus 1 x single toilet (an example would be winter season 2.5hrs per day - 1 person/ Summer season 4hrs per day - team of 2)
Manage on-site linen store, liaise with laundry contractor, prep laundry collections and distribute linen bundles to accommodations when ordered
Clean and prep 2 static wood fired hot tubs when booked
Grounds maintenance - mowing and strimming. Refuse management, moving and changing gas bottles when needed
Take receipt of deliveries e.g. wood
Buy supplies by placing online orders with Alliance e.g. hand soap, toilet rolls etc....
Respond to and manage emergencies if they occur, prioritise guest safety
Basic animal care of 4 sheep & some free-range chickens (feed hay, provide water, move from one pasture to another, cleaning of animal areas)
Ensure site rules are adhered to, so as to ensure guest safety and customer satisfaction
