Kopek Security & Facilities Ltd is a national provider of canine and manned assisted security services. We as a company, consistently strive to deliver a high standard of service and insist on working with the best handlers with the highest standard of canine welfare.

Due to new and exciting contracts in and around the Watford and London and South East areas, we are looking to recruit dual Drug/ Pyro Passive Detection Dog handlers to join our existing canine section.

Successful candidates will work alongside their own specially trained dog to detect illegal drugs/pyrotechnics and ensure safety and security on site.

Successful applicants will be vetted to British Standards 7858 and 8517.

Evidence of ongoing training and development will be required, supported and delivered.

We are offering 35 per hour depending on site, for fully compliant Dog Handlers that can deliver an exceptional service.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough searches as indicated by site assignment instructions and additional client requests, to identify drugs/pyrotechnics.

Responding to Site Activations

Perform routine and random searches at gates and public areas.

Identify security risks and take appropriate action

Complete incident reports to a high standard and ensure regular communication with operational support teams.

Handle and care for detection dog, ensuring their welfare, health, and training. You will be solely responsible for the care of your dog.

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Behaviours and Requirements:

Proven experience as a dog handler, with a primary focus on drug and Pyro detection.

Strong understanding of canine behaviour and training techniques.

Excellent observational and communication skills, written and verbal.

Able to deliver active duty and perform searches in various environments.

High level of integrity and professionalism.

Proficient in remaining calm under pressure and in conditions of uncertainty

Work without supervision

Compliance:

SIA Door Supervisor (DS or CP) licence

Teams certificate with canine

Canine First Aid certificate

Own insurance

Valid DBS certificate

Full UK driving Licence

Fully compliant vehicle

Fully compliant cages

Willingness and ability to travel as required to sites

Five years checkable history for screening and vetting purposes

Ability to pass required criminality checks

Right to work in the UK
