We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Canteen Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all meals are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Serve food and beverages to customers with a friendly and professional attitude. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Handle transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred, showcasing familiarity with food preparation techniques. Culinary experience is advantageous, particularly in fast-paced settings. Strong time management skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently. A solid understanding of food safety practices is required to maintain health standards in the canteen. Experience in serving customers will be beneficial for this role.
