Key role objective



The Catering Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the staff canteen and providing refreshments for meetings and company events. This includes food preparation, serving, cleaning, stock management, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety. The role also requires flexibility to provide cover during holidays and other periods of absence.

Key responsibilities



Prepare and serve hot and cold food and drinks. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and canteen. Monitor stock levels, order and store supplies as required. Provide refreshments and set up/clear down for meetings and events. Follow food hygiene, health & safety rules. Be flexible to cover variable hours (sometimes up to 5 days/week, sometimes none)

General duties



The Catering Assistant is responsible for other such duties as specified by the company directors and Directors to enable the Company to fulfil its orders and obligations. Adherence to Company Rules and Regulations, including Health and Safety, as outlined in the Company Handbook and Health & Safety Manual. Maintaining the confidentiality of all knowledge and information appertaining to the Company, its customers and its employees

Person specification



Essential:

Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or kitchen environment. Good understanding of food hygiene. Ability to understand, speak, and read English. Flexible and reliable with the ability to adapt to changing schedules. Friendly, approachable and professional when dealing with staff and visitors. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work additional hours during school holidays.
Desirable:

Food hygiene certificate. Experience providing hospitality support for corporate meetings or event

Working conditions



Office-based role in Warwick. Monday to Friday, schooltime hours.
Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
