About The Role

The

role



Gateley Capitus specialise in advising clients on the tax incentives available to support investment and innovation. The areas that we advise on include capital allowances, land remediation relief and international tax depreciation analysis. We are looking for an ambitious Capital Allowances Graduate to join our growing team in our Belfast office.



This role will be a be key part in the growth of our national tax incentives team and gives the opportunity to work with colleagues across all our offices and allows career progression within a professional multi-disciplinary business.


You will be responsible for the following:




Preparing capital allowances reports for tax relief on the purchase and development of commercial properties. This could be the purchase of an office the redevelopment of a hotel or the construction of a care home. Surveying properties across a wide variety of sectors such as hospitality, offices, data centres, leisure and industrial properties Carrying out due diligence for property purchases Advising clients on contractual clauses for sale and purchase agreements or analysing cost information for new developments or refurbishments

Gateley Capitus is a specialist Investment and Innovation Incentives practice, part of Gateley plc, a national legal and professional services group of some 1500 employees. We have been established for over 25 years and are considered to be one of the most experienced advisors in this niche area. We have delivered billions of pounds worth of tax savings to our clients who then use that money for reinvestment and growth.



We have a team in Belfast, London, Birmingham and Manchester, all highly experienced consultants. We write the text books relating to this subject area and the guidance notes for the RICS and Practical Law. We regularly sit on consultation panels with industry and government and deliver seminars to clients and professional advisors.

person


Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:




Working towards a professional qualification or nearing qualification from a background in either Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Real Estate, Accounting, Tax or Finance. Training will be given in all of these areas, developing and enhancing the skills you will have obtained in the core degree that you will have studied Strong technical skills Attention to detail Demonstrate commercial acumen Aptitude to deliver excellent client service and, in due course, be able to communicate with confidence at the highest levels of an organisation
