This is an exciting opportunity to join the Placed Based Team within the Prevention and Inclusion Service at Newport City Council.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Capital and Resources officer within the team. The post will be working to the set objectives as per the JD.

1 x Capital Resources Officer 37 hours per week, fixed term until 31 March 2026
The successful candidates will be part of an integrated team, working in partnership with all local services. They will be looking to be part of the development of provisions and delivery of services aligned with the needs of all members of the local community.
The individual will lead on the Prevention and Inclusion capital programme linking in with internal NCC departments, Norse, Welsh Government, umbrella organisations, capital accountancy and Community Connectors to develop, implement and review Prevention and Inclusion an early year's capital programme.
The individual will be able to recognise the importance of providing communities with a building that will support their needs and follow a Placed Based Approach to working. They will also have experience in planning, leading, organising and evaluating projects. In addition, they will have strong communication and organisational skills, with proven ability to work with a diverse range of individuals and organisations.
