JOB DESCRIPTION:

Following an internal move, we are looking for a Capital Equipment Service Engineer to support our Electrophysiology (EP) mapping/recording product lines, predominantly in the UK (ideally candidates will live between Leeds and London due to extensive national travel).

You will install, configure, and support this highly advanced medical equipment and ensure connectivity within surrounding IT infrastructures as well as ensuring service agreements and warranty obligations are fulfilled on time.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Electronic Hardware/Software/IT field support, to include electronic system installation, troubleshooting & repair, preventative maintenance & calibration. To include IT connectivity/Networking and software upgrades.
  • Taking ownership of their own service region. Self-management is essential to the role.
  • Communicates clearly with Hospital IT departments on a similar knowledge level, with a thorough understanding of IT Networking to support connectivity to hospital networks
  • Executes and supports Technical Site Survey/meetings for system installations, works with the project team to understand actions; provides pre-installation support and survey documentation
  • Ensures a professional, compliant, and lean installation of all projects.
  • Working with EMEA Capital Equipment Service team members and local Sales/Clinical Teams on the optimal scheduling of field interventions
  • Ensuring accurate completion and communication of accompanying field service documentation/platforms in line with QA procedures.
  • Occasional installation of data communication (cabling) optic/hardwire, in a hospital lab environment based on installation plan of the accompanying system.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need:
  • Ideally a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electronics, IT, Engineering, or equivalent scientific discipline.
  • Prior medical device systems/electronics service or related field service experience with experience of working within hospitals.
  • Strong Electronic, Mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong IT Knowledge, Networking, Connectivity and Windows OS.
  • Strong communication skills: clear verbal and written.
  • English is a must; additional European languages are a bonus.
  • Familiarity with Cath lab and operating room procedures and protocol would be a plus.
  • Clinical experience within cardiology would be a plus.
  • Requires occasional lifting of products and material related to installation of the systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK as well as some need for international travel, able to respond to situations at short notice \xe2\x80\x93 living near a major airport ideal.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
