We are looking for a Capital Investments Projects Engineering Manager to join our team!
Position Overview
The Capital Projects Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of capital projects from conception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive project management experience and a strong background in engineering, process machinery, production processes, financial planning and construction management. The Capital Projects Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including OEM's, site General Managers, HSE Managers, contractors, and the UK executive management team, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specifications agreed.
Key Responsibilities
========================
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and performance metrics.
Strategy Implementation: Delivery our asset and site lifecycle plans and supporting site leadership teams with the annual renewal of these lifecycle plans.
Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and governmental agencies.
Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial control and efficient resource utilization. Monitor and report financial performance against project milestones and objectives.
Supplier Management: negotiation of price, timescales, deliverables, variations
Contract management, contract negotiation, contact reviews, safety management during construction phases, contract completion and signoff
Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects meet established quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Provide accurate and timely updates on project progress, issues, and corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and implementing best practices in project management.
Qualifications
==================
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in capital project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
