We are seeking a Capital Markets Associate to own and execute the funding strategy for StrideUp's rapidly growing portfolio of existing and new products.

The Role




As the Capital Markets Associate, you will be responsible for raising and maintaining capital to support StrideUp's financing activities. This will include collaborating with our existing funding partners to structure, model, negotiate, and complete warehouse and forward flow transactions as well as public and private securitisation transactions. You will also work closely with the senior leadership team in defining StrideUp's growth plans and assist the CEO in finding new sources of capital to fund them.

What You'll Do



Portfolio management:

Actively monitor StrideUp's portfolio and ensure compliance with the terms and limits of the funding arrangements in place.

Investor communication and reporting:

Ensure delivery of periodic investor updates and reporting, and respond to investor queries in a timely manner.

Facility negotiations:

Play an active role in putting forward StrideUp's proposals for amendments to existing facilities and implementing the changes once approved.

Funding opportunities:

Take ownership of potential new investor transactions from inception through negotiation, due diligence, legal documentation, and completion.

Stakeholder collaboration:

Work closely with lawyers, rating agencies, auditors, and other third parties to ensure successful execution of financing / securitisation transactions.

Modelling:

Preparing detailed cashflow models to forecast funding needs and presenting the results in a manner that allows effective decision making.

Pricing decisions:

Lead the decision-making process on product pricing to balance growth targets, funding/financial requirements and operational considerations.

MI and analytics:

Help build processes for data collection, analysis, and visualisation to improve reporting of Management Information.

Treasury and liquidity:

Working with Finance and Post-Offer teams to ensure that drawdowns, settlements, and distributions of funds are managed efficiently.

Requirements



Top Skills/Experience Required



3+ years of capital markets experience, such as in investment banking, lending businesses, rating agencies, or debt capital markets advisory. Experience in a startup, Islamic finance, or mortgage lending is a plus. Background in debt transactions, preferably including RMBS, warehouses, and/or forward flow agreements. Strong financial modelling skills along with a commercial and analytical mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple competing priorities. Track record stakeholder management and leading projects with little or no supervision.
